I am looking for information on my GGGrandfather Reverend George C. Wiehe (1817 - 1897). If anyone knows of a church he served in, or other family members, it would be greatly appreciated. He came from Braunschweig / Prussia / Germany, but I have no date of immigration or listing of other family members. His wife was Katrine / Catherine Ritzel Zimmerman Wiehe (1826 - 1904).

Thank you!

Clum may be the Americanized version of the German Klum or Klump.  I'm not able to find Sarah Clum / Klum / Klump under any of these spellings.  She married Henry Reinhart Born April 1813 in PA and died November 30, 1895 in Fallsburg, Licking County, PA. She bore 8 children: Elizabeth (1838), Mary (1839), Margaret (1845), Annie (1846), Henry (1850), John (1854), William (birth date unknown) and Fannie (birth date unknown).  If this info looks familiar please contact me.  Thanks.

I have a distant cousin, Frank Ellis Stinsman, who listed Gastown, OH, for his birthplace on his WWI draft application.  I have not been able to locate the town, references to the town, or even a brief mention of the town.  Does anyone have a reference book listing Gastown, or ever heard of it?  I'm getting rather frustrated with this.  Why would my cousin put it down if it didn't exist?

Hello, All...

After 20+ yrs of searching, I still have no answers.

My Thomas Burbridge reportedly had family in Ohio.  All I know from the stories and records is that the place was near what was called the Big Miami River or the Little Miami River. At one time I learned the real names of these two rivers and the nicknames the old timers used made sense, but I cannot recall the proper names now.

Anyway, Thomas reportedly died there after 1820, but I have no idea how to find any records of that.  I'm desperate to find him and any information on his life...marriage record to Christina Ory, and of his father Ezekiel.  Thomas was born in the mid 1700s....1748 or so in possibly VA.

Thank you!
Carolyn

I am researching the Kirk Family Tree.  The current family information is that William Henry Kirk was born in Scotland, however, census information says otherwise.  It indicates he was born in Ohio.  I do not have county or city information.  Can someone direct me to the best sources to try and locate his birthplace and perhaps parental information?  Thank you! javascript:void(0);

I haven't figured out how to search individual counties yet. I am looking for relatives of Robert (1865-1963) & Daisy Krouskop (d. 1970's) (Leota Krouskop (1899-1920), Mary Elizabeth Krouskop (Ballinger) & Zenis McLean). Much of the Krouskop family that I come from I believe lived in Union county, but I know that Mary Elizabeth Krouskop married Dale Eddy Ballinger & resided in Logan county at one time. In all of my research, everything stops w/ my great grand uncle & aunt Robert & Daisy. I was raised to know Daisy as grandma Daisy since she raised her niece Mary Elizabeth (my grandmother) after my great-grandmother Leota Krouskop (her sister-in-law) died giving birth to Mary (I have no memory of Robert Krouskop). I did not know until just the last few years that grandma Daisy was actually an aunt & not a grandparent biologically. I am grateful for any information about the family, especially prior to Robert & Daisy, but anything is of great interest to me. I have found photos of Robert (Daisy is on it, but she died in FL) & Leota's gravestones. ~Jen outlaw_spam@claflin.net

The Park County Genealogy Society bought and placed a marker on the unmarked grave of Oliver W. Hirst aka "Old Joe" "Ole Hirst" in the Mountain View Cemetery, Livingston, Park County, Montana. Our research tells us that Oliver W. Hirst was born 1 Aug 1827 the son of Israel and Catherine (Branson) Hirst in Ohio. He died 13 May 1903 in Warm Springs, Montana but had lived in Livingston for several years.

I am interested in information regarding any of my Agy family members.  My g-g-grandfather was John Agy from Guernsey County (around 1820) who was married to my g-g-grandmother Lydia Griffin Agy.  They migrated from there to along the Mississippi River in Rock Island, IL.
