1  Ohio Queries / General Queries / Re: Carrentan-Carrington Dixon on: August 23, 2009, 10:21:43 AM
In 1854 letter from John Dixson of New Market, Randolph Co. NC. (thats a correction, was Va.) wrote John and Nathan Dixon of French Lick, Orange Co. Indiana. John called them (Neffus) and in the letter he called them his brother's children. He wrote that brother Carrington lived four miles from him and John had just visited with brother Carrington, who had a cough and the daughter was sick too.
Carrington-Carrentan Dixon is in Orange Co. In. when last son: Carrinton W. Dixon was born in 1845. No census on Carrington in 1850. Only Rachel Dixon and family.
This letter was in my father's things (cigar box) with some other letters that came from his mother, when she died in 1942. One letter from James Jack Dixson of Port Angeles, Washington to (Sis) Eliza Jane Sprague Dixson of Norton Co. Ks. My Ggrandmother.
Need to research this John Dixson's parents? Possible John Dixon and Rebecca Johnson m. 1780 children: Simon Dixon, Rebecca Dixon, John Dixon.
Over 400 visits on this and no replies. If you have any John and Rebecca Johnson Dixon relation or genealogy, make a comment. Comment if you have any John and Susanna Stanbury Dixon genealogy.
