Title: Pentzer. Cross, Boucher
Post by: CPentzer on July 10, 2008, 09:37:40 AM
I am seeking information on any Pentzer living in Ohio, particularly the descendants of Christian Philip (1782-1843) and Catherine Kephart (1793-1883) Pentzer. They lived primarily in Wyandot County. Children: Margaret, Eva, William, Henry, Rose Ann, Susan, George, Sarah, and Catherine. Christian Philip had siblings Valentine, George and Daniel who may have also lived in Ohio.

I am also seeking information on Henry Pentzer (1813-1879) and his wife Deborah Cross Pentzer (1814-1904) and their children Orpha, David V., William Shadrack, Mary M., Margaret Jane, Hulda, Raymond Finley, Aimee, and Lorenzo Dow. Census information places them in Hardin, Wyandot, and Van Wert counties.

Deborah Cross Pentzer was raised by an uncle, possibly a Boucher, after the death of her mother and the murder of her father, Nicholas Cross, in the Zanesville area sometime between 1823 and 1830. She had one brother, Michael N. Cross. We do not know the name of Deborah's mother. Nicholas Cross was from the Alsace-Lorraine area of France/Germany.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
