Title: Where to get vital records?
Post by: elisabethcole on March 20, 2011, 02:30:18 PM
Hi!
Hopefully someone can help me with this.  I would like to get marriage records from three separate OH counties but can't figure out where to send the requests.  They're all older so I need to go to each specific county, not to to the state.  I see lots of postings online for what records are available by county and date but can't seem to locate contact info!  I would like to request marriage records from these three counties:

Athens
Meigs
Gallia

Any help would be hugely appreciated!  Thank you!
Elisabeth Cole

Marriage records are kept by the county's Probate Court.  If information is not listed on the site, I would google the individual county to locate the contact information.

Most OHGenWeb sites have links to their county government sites.
